DR ERIN B
Dr. Erin Boynton is an orthopaedic surgeon, expert medical witness, consultant to the Toronto Blue Jays, and past-chair of the research committee for the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation.
Throughout her career as a surgeon and sports doctor, she has worked with many professional sports teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Argos, and she was the first female orthopaedic surgeon to work in the MLB and NHL. For the last sixteen years, she has acted as the Medical Director for the Rogers Cup WTA tennis tour.
Dr. Boynton has also worked as assistant professor of surgery and physical therapy at the University of Toronto, and is the co-author of over thirty academic papers. She has lectured at hospitals, universities, and conferences around the globe, and is the recipient of multiple research grants, honors, and awards, including the J. Edouard Samson Award which recognizes the best career orthopaedic research in Canada.
In addition to treating thousands of professional and amateur athletes as a doctor, Dr. Boynton is also a championship tennis player who’s represented Canada on multiple World Cup teams, and is currently ranked 18th in the world in the W55 category.
She is the proud mother of two children, and the proud owner of two dogs. She lives in Toronto.
Colin J. Fleming
Colin J. Fleming is a journalist, screenwriter, and humorist. His writing has appeared in the CBC, Toronto Life, Huffington Post, The Daily Beast, and The Columbia Journalism Review, among others. He’s also the author of the interactive children’s book Phoebe & Dax which debuted at #1 on iBooks Canada’s Kids store.
He is a graduate of Columbia University.
Sally is a former member of the Canadian Exercise Physiology Board and has a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Queen's University. She has taught biomechanics, exercise physiology and anatomy, and presents at numerous industry trade shows and conferences globally including: IDEA World Fitness Convention, FIBO, Canfitpro, the annual ACE Personal Trainer Conference, and others.
Throughout her career, Sally has garnered a reputation in the industry as an authority on sport-specific movement mechanics and core training. The foundation of Sally's unique knowledge base is grounded in the science of anatomy, biomechanics and movement analysis - and in turn she has developed a regular roster of clients all over the world.
In 2010, Sally founded Sally Belanger Training (SBT), a center based on the philosophy that both athletes and laypeople can benefit tremendously when they fuse contemporary Pilates and core-based training by applying them through sport-specific exercise.
Dalal has been Dr. Boynton's executive assistant for over ten years. Dalal graduated from Don Bosco secondary school and later attended Humber College to receive a Business Marketing Diploma. She has a passion for keeping Dr. Boynton organized and on track and is a mother to 2 children and an avid supporter of youth hockey and dance.
